Graveyard is not to be confused with the Swedish hard rock band by the same name. The Spanish four-piece play old school death metal the Swedish way. There's nothing different about the music. It's straight forward without any real surprises, but it's obvious that the band is getting better and better at what it does.
The songs are recognizable and the riffs overall great, although some of it sound borrowed. The music is death metal in the vein of early Entombed, Dismember and to some degree also Bolt Thrower.
In a previous review I wrote that the band tend to mimic Entombed and Dismember a little too much now and then. It's no different on The Altar of Sculpted Skulls, but I can live with that as it profits the music more than it hurts.
If you like death metal in the vein of the aforementioned bands then you could do a lot worse than go and get The Altar of Sculpted Skulls.
